• The Vision

Our vision is that all persons regardless of their age, ethnicity, social condition and gender, and in virtue of their dignity and equality, have the right to be responsible agents of their material, moral and spiritual development and to enjoy a worthy life.

    Our Values

The dignity of people is the fundamental core of our work. In our firm determination to providing justice, we value organization and perseverance in order to reach out to the innocent and unprotected orphans, children whose parents are in jail, who are victims of abuse, rape and abandonment, and children who work and live on the streets.

We strive to assist without imposing the donor's way of seeing and doing things, and to answer the cries of the needy, sharing with them the responsibility of their own development.

    About Us

The Rainbow of Hope for Bolivia’s Street Children (RHBSC), a non-profit organization was established in the United States of America to provide assistance through financial donations and medical doctors and nurses who volunteer their time to serve and heal the homeless children of La Paz, Bolivia.

Today, RHSCB provides independent, impartial assistance to Fundacion Arco Iris a non-government organization, based on the principles of the Roman Catholic Church that fights discrimination and social exclusion of the poor and homeless children, teenagers and young adults, who live and work in the streets of La Paz and have no opportunities to improve their future. The Fundacion gives the children a place to sleep, food, health, clothing, education, technical training, etc. and, most important, love and psychological support for their personal improvement and to meet their basic health care needs.

Through our collective partnership we strive to serve the vulnerable children who are ill, disabled, or displaced. We provide them with immediate assistance and services to break the cycle of poverty. We utilize the wonder of medicine, and the spirit of love to provide life-saving medical treatment, educational opportunities, unconditional love and instilling self-worth.

Our Mission - To provide integral financial support to the programs of Arco Iris, so that the Fundacio can create processes that give the children of Bolivia effective stability and self-esteem to help them achieve independence in their social, civilian and work behavior.

In order to continue our mission, Rainbow of Hope for Bolivia’s Street Children relies on generous donations of the general public. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Rainbow of Hope for Bolivia’s Street Children with its partners are dedicated to providing financial support , through donations from the general public, to ensure that the work of Father Jose endures forever.

Father Jose Maria Neuenhofer, founder of Rainbow Foundation (Fundacion Arco Iris), was born March 7th, 1938 in Moenchengladbach, Germany.

Following his priest vocation, he studied Theology and Pedagogy in the German cities of Bonn and Munich. He was ordered priest December 8th, 1964 in the Republic of Argentina, where between 1964 and 1967 he was a priest of the Archdioceses of La Plata.

From 1968 until 1992, Father Jose worked in his natal Germany, developing different works in parishes, with youth and confined people. Also, from that time, his deep compromise with the poor in Latin America was reflected, creating programs of brotherhood and assistance in small towns across the continent.

In 1993, Father Jose leaves Germany deciding to work in Bolivia helping the poor and alienated. In June of the same year he is named parish priest of the parish of The Divine Teacher (Divino Maestro) in the neighborhood of Alto Obrajes in the city of La Paz.

In 1994 he is pronounced advisor of homeless children that live in the streets of the Archdioceses of La Paz. To accomplish this mission, he establishes the Rainbow Foundation during the same year.

His life is characterized with a great social sensibility, charitable spirit and solidarity. As a person he is disciplined, hard worker, and enthusiastic with his natal soccer team, Borusia. As a priest he is strongly identified with the Church, member of the Schoenstatt movement, spiritual father and great friend of the seminarists.
